"You should feel pleased"

That's what my teacher wrote in my sketchbook journal after I turned in this latest assignment. I decided if I was going to spend any time sketching, I was going to draw the type of pictures I would want to display in my own home so whenever I've had the privilege, I've chosen subjects of things that I love...

While illustrating this sketch, I found that I wanted to give it to someone that I love ~someonewho has always believed in and supported me AND for years had wished for me to return to my drawing. I have and I hope you like this simple pencil on paper present, Mom.
 Love You!

 Happy M♥ther's Day!

By the way, it's Show and Tell Friday over at Cindy's romantic home so I am adding my new blog link. Check it out. ...she has honey lavender ice cream at her place. Yum!

Just discovered your blog. Your work is amazing. I was floored...not only by your talent but by the picture that you have of Beatrix Potter. I have the exact picture framed on my desk. I love her work......not only her artwork ( sadly, I have no artistic ability) but her wonderful stories which I use in my classroom as "jumping off places" to teach all sorts of concepts. I'll be back!
